How we handle information from website visitors and guests. The short version: this site collects nothing from you directly, and bookings happen on Airbnb or Vrbo.

Who we are

Kawama Getaway is a single vacation rental, Unit E6 at Kawama Yacht Club in Key Largo, Florida, run by its owner. You can reach us at info@kawamagetaway.com.

What this website collects

This website is for information only. It has no contact forms, accounts or online payments, and we do not ask you to enter any personal information on it.

We have not added analytics, advertising trackers or cookies of our own. A few services the site relies on do receive basic technical information when you visit:

  • Our web host (GoDaddy) keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. GoDaddy also adds a small performance-monitoring script to our pages. See GoDaddy’s privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site, so your browser connects to Google’s servers to download them. See Google’s privacy policy.

When you email us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, such as your name, phone number, travel dates and party size. We use it only to answer you, arrange and manage your stay, and keep the records we need for our own bookkeeping and taxes. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Bookings on Airbnb and Vrbo

Reservations are made on Airbnb or Vrbo, not on this website. Those platforms collect and process your booking and payment details under their own privacy policies: Airbnb and Vrbo. We receive the booking details the platform shares with hosts, such as your name, dates, number of guests and messages you send us.

Sharing with the community gate

Kawama Yacht Club is a gated community. Before you arrive, we give the front gate the name of the guest checking in so you can be let in and given a parking pass. The driver shows a photo ID at the gate. We share guest information only as needed to run your stay, or when the law requires it.

Links to other sites

This site links to Airbnb, Vrbo, Instagram, Google Maps and local businesses. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Your choices

You can email us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it, unless we need to keep it for tax or legal reasons.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date below.
